Welcome to the Rockhampton Pistol Club Inc.

* New Shooters Welcome *

If you are interested in giving pistol shooting a go, our club holds new/unlicensed shooters (Ages 11+) introduction and training sessions for prospective members on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month from 9 am.

On these 'Come & Try' days we ask that you arrive between 8.30 & 8.45 am so we can fill out the necessary paperwork prior to commencement of shooting. Bookings essential so coaches can be organised as we are not a business and rely on volunteers.

'Come & Try' days for prospective members (1st & 3rd Sundays of the month), if you wish to shoot there is a cover fee of $20 for ammunition, targets and coaching.

Before shooting there are some forms to complete and photo ID is essential, no ID means no shooting. Enclosed shoes must be worn and ear protection is a must – the Club has ear muffs and safety glasses for visitor use.

The Club’s policy is that prospective members are provided with three introductory shoots to decide if the sport is for you, then you have to join the Club if you wish to continue shooting. Please note EFTPOS is not available at present, cash only.

No new shooters on the 2nd Sunday of each month as there will be a committee meeting held at 10.30 am (all club members are welcome to attend) or 4th Sunday of each month.

Accounts are for RPC Club members only. Please check our facebook page "Rockhampton Pistol Club Inc" for more information.

Club Notices / Project Updates

There is an exciting new project in the pipeline, stay tuned folks!

Thank you for visiting the Rockhampton Pistol Club Inc website. The aim of Rockhampton Pistol Club is to promote a safe and enjoyable environment for all pistol disciplines. Rockhampton Pistol Club was formed in 1968 and moved to its present site at 69 Dorly St in 1985. There are now 8 accredited shooting ranges from 25m to 50m, including a fantastic new indoor 10m air pistol range, a clubhouse and ablutions block.

The Club welcomes visitors and age is no barrier to enjoyment of the sport – under Weapons Act Legislation juniors from age 11 can participate and the Club has an 83 year old member still actively participating and enjoying the sport. Physical fitness is not paramount but it is a sport that requires mental discipline and concentration. Most of the ranges are also wheelchair accessible and the Club is striving to further improve this aspect. It is recommended you advise beforehand of your intended visit.
